Jam Session @ The North Ranch

Once a week on Wednesdays at 2pm, members of both the permanent “full-time” residents and transient residents that might have any musical talent at all, whether playing an instrument of some sort and/or singing, are invited to come together at the jam session at the clubhouse.2016-04-21 14.11.23

Kathy and I went down and spent a littler over an ho
ur listening, toe-tapping, and applauding these talented folks.

I shot a couple of short videos so you could see, hear, and “feel” the enjoyment along with us.  I’ve uploaded them to You Tube and you can click on any of the links below to see and hear these folks in action.

Quilts at The North Ranch

On our first day at The North Ranch, we took a walking tour of the clubhouse and grounds to “scope it out”.

The North Ranch Clubhouse at Congress, AZ

The clubhouse has two large rooms, one is carpeted, offers a large brick fireplace, lots of comfy chairs and couches, along with ample shelves stocked with books to share on loan.  This room is used for social gatherings including the jam session Kathy and I attended on Wednesday.

The second large room has a tiled floor and is used for various more physical activities including exercising, bingo, quilting workshops, etc.  I wanted to share with you some of the pix I took of all the various quilts that residents have made and put on display.
