Oklahoma City National Memorial

While in Oklahoma City, and at Bonnie’s suggestion, we visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial where the Federal Building was destroyed by a bomb at 9:02 am on April 19, 1995.

It’s a beautiful site and pretty sobering when you see the old foundation of the building and all the symbolic chairs lined up with all the victim’s names engraved on each of the 168 chairs as a Gallery of Honor.

We didn’t get there until about 5:30 and the museum closes at 6pm so we didn’t go in.
